Bucketlist: Go to Germany ✔

Looks like I can finally cross one thing off of my bucket list! It's been weeks since I officiated my decision but I never got around to inform the public, you, of my decision. In April, I officially declined my scholarship to go abroad with the YES Abroad ambassadors in favor of going to Germany with CBYX. No doubt that I am still a bit bummed about not being able to go to Indonesia my senior year, however, Germany is also a great place to go! So since the decision, the only progress that I've had with the process of going to Germany is:
  • I have been informed of/will be attending a Regional Pre-Departure Orientation
  • My application has been sent over to AFS Germany (patiently awaiting my approval and keeping my fingers crossed)
  • I have been informed of a Pe-Departure conference call that will take place very soon!!
So yea, life is exciting! I have finished all my AP Exams and school is going to be over in a little more than a month. On a side note, the humidity in NJ has been in the range of 90% and above. Mind I tell you that it was a 100% humidity the other day and the school officials had the audacity to not cancel school that day, thus I had to spend 6 hours in a building with folks that smelled un-heavenly. Never Again! (Just kidding, I can't stay home for a reason as melodramatic as that. Boy, do I wish) Any who, I've been thinking about ending each of my posts with either song lyrics or poetry excerpts, either characterizing my day or whatever song/poem was stuck in my head that day. Good idea? (Seriously, this is a question, please answer)
